My new work series is finished. Well, the first stage any way…..For the last few months I’ve been working on new works. I took a big step for my self and worked with bigger formats than I usually do, combined with paper collages (old love of mine). I enjoy every second of experimenting and trying new things. The collages are hand-made, cut from vintage books. Gives me a good excuse to nibble in second-hand book shops…:-)
A few months ago I received a very exciting mail send by the lovely Séverine Gallardo from Edition Marguerite Waknine, a french publishing house specialized in contemporary art.
They were interested in publishing a book about my art work. I can’t say enough how happy and honored I feel. It was a very interesting process of collecting and choosing the suitable work. After all these weeks of preparations, here it is:
A beautiful new handsome book!
You can check their site for more details and look around to see their other exciting books!
Beautiful winter day. All white and soft. Sun was shining and the sky are amazing in this blue sky. We went to the Museumplein at the end of our street to find that he hates snow and the cold weather- but Loves water…She is loving every moments of white and cold around her. Warm choco drink, portion of poffertjes and back home…
Its arrived! the new “Uppercase” magazine (issue #16). My work is there and so many beautiful art works, articles and interview. Such a high quality magazine! I full of appreciation to Janine Vangool the founder (and publisher, editor and designer…) Thank you!
And another super talented Brad Walker from “Majuscule” (issue # 18). Brad has published (creator, designer and editor…) a new issue and this time was collaboration of many amazing artists. I’m very happy that my work is there also. – Thank you!
Last weekend I visited the studio of the very talented artist Margit seland. She is a ceramic designer working also with textile. She produce small series in limited edition for galleries and museum-shops.
Her studio is inspiring as much as her work. Just have a look at this amazing vase-lamp she made from a found plastic bowl, the text-cut cookies or her mood broad….I didn’t know where to look first…. What an inspiration! … and very nice woman as well…;-)
(the pictures of the fruit bowl, the porcelain set and the felt bag in the college are taking from her site the rest taken by me)
