Museum of Bags and Purses (Tassenmuseum)
What a wonderful afternoon I spent together with my daughter at the Museum of Bags and Purses. Such a delight. Such a treat. Just her and me…The location of the museum is fabulous- in the city center on a canal, located in a beautiful building, built back in 1664.The museum is displaying a private collection which belongs to Hendrikje Ivo who collected bags for more then 35 years, dating from the late middle ages up to the present day.
The three floors museum is a tour in the history of those times. I was amazed by the extent of the collection and the uniqueness and high quality of the bags. What struck me the most was the craftsmanship and the detailed work. The design of some of the bags with their hidden pockets is pure art. Its made me miss times that I was never part off.

I took this pictures from the 6th floor -beautiful city, isn’t it? …Happy weekend!

Constance the Vintage Caravan – a pre summer vacation post
Meet Constance the vintage most stylish caravan. This 50′s curvy green beauty is decorated from floor to curtains in retro style. The green color on the outside, together with the red flower plants and the flowery curtains take you back in time. She is not available for rent, but we can all dream, can’t we?
And while writing the last sentence I realize that I’m not very crazy about caravan trips or camping in general. (a bit doubting if I should say it having this post
I did my share when I was a child and, ye, that is it for me..:-) Although never say never – there are two kids here with a mind of their one…;) Anyway..I couldn’t resist this retro beauty.

Happy Weekend
After a to-much-busy week, all I wish for is a relax and easy weekend. I took this picture two days ago, when I manage to take a break- my 6 years old daughter running and jumping rope, happy outside in Hemmeland, a beautiful nauture park outside of Amsterdam. This is one of my favorite places to enjoy fresh air, green and beauty, reminding me that I have to do it more often. Happy weekend!
