A visit at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie Graduation Show

Today I visited the Graduation Show of Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Two buildings, together 10 floors of the the final work from all departments. A lot of video, installation and performances. Very little painting. The design lab’s exhibition was excellent. The work of the architecture department was very impressive. The fashion design was particularly good. All together great pleasure.

This tree house

I was totally overwhelmed when I saw “Outlandia” project. This tree house observatory imagined by artists London Field works and designed by award-winning Malcolm Fraser Architects. “Inspired by childhood dens, wildlife hides and bothies, by forest outlaws and Japanese poetry platforms”. Dream house. Dream tree house. (via:

Color me orange

Orange color is defiantly in the top three list of my favorite colors. Eye caching, vibrant, happy and my ever-since- little-girl-favorite hair color. I’m absolutely melting whenever I meet a true red head…:-) Take a close look at the Josephine Baker school – its a real dream school design isn’t it?
