Very happy and proud to be a part of the 10th international triennial of mini-textiles. From December 15 2012 to Monday till May 20 2013 in Angers, France.

“For the seventh consecutive edition in Angers, Jean-Lurçat museum and contemporary tapestry organizes this winter, the 10th international triennial of mini-textiles. The theme for the artists is “Too web or not to web” / “Too canvas or not.”
For over fifteen years, the city of Angers and its museum of contemporary tapestry offer this appointment expected between contemporary textiles and the public.

Modesty format combines with the talent and diversity of famous artists and become young and old come together.

A jury of artists, experts, teachers, curators, met and selected 68 works that make up this exhibition, among 462 proposals. Over 20 countries are represented.”

Today I visited the Graduation Show of Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.
Two buildings, together 10 floors of the the final work from all departments. A lot of video, installation and performances. Very little painting. The design lab’s exhibition was excellent. The work of the architecture department was very impressive. The fashion design was particularly good. All together great pleasure.

I’m very excited to have a workshop inspired by my art-work at  Atelier Oosterbosch.

The idea and initiation was all in the hands of the amazing Anita Oosterbosch.

We are going to make a collage and then translate it to a beautiful textile-art-work.

looking forward…:-)
