I am so thrilled to be in Pia Jane Bijkerk’s new book: “Little Treasures: Made by Hand” Her book is a self publishing adventure: Pia has written and photographed everything herself. She wrote a lovely story about my me, it made me smile and missing her being in Amsterdam even more…
I gave Pia my first whale after she interviewed me to her first book. I was very moved to know that this whale found himself in the room of Pia’s little girl… This is her second book that I’m mentioned in- so wonderful–Thank you Dear Pia!
Wonderful and very busy weeks behind me… since I’ve launched my new work. Thank you SO much dear Daniella from the amazing ‘the Jealous Curator”for featuring my work and for featuring me again (twice in one day…:-) in her great guest blog at Style by Emily Henderson. Thanks to Troy from Mammoth and Company ! From last week my art is also for sale in this one of a kind art shop. Don’t miss Troy’s portfolio and his quite amazing biography. So, a day of many thanks! my favorite days….:-)
My new work series is finished. Well, the first stage any way…..For the last few months I’ve been working on new works. I took a big step for my self and worked with bigger formats than I usually do, combined with paper collages (old love of mine). I enjoy every second of experimenting and trying new things. The collages are hand-made, cut from vintage books. Gives me a good excuse to nibble in second-hand book shops…:-)
A few months ago I received a very exciting mail send by the lovely Séverine Gallardo from Edition Marguerite Waknine, a french publishing house specialized in contemporary art.
They were interested in publishing a book about my art work. I can’t say enough how happy and honored I feel. It was a very interesting process of collecting and choosing the suitable work. After all these weeks of preparations, here it is:
Its arrived! the new “Uppercase” magazine (issue #16). My work is there and so many beautiful art works, articles and interview. Such a high quality magazine! I full of appreciation to Janine Vangool the founder (and publisher, editor and designer…) Thank you! And another super talented Brad Walker from “Majuscule” (issue # 18). Brad has published (creator, designer and editor…) a new issue and this time was collaboration of many amazing artists. I’m very happy that my work is there also. – Thank you!
