“Little Treasures: Made by Hand”

I am so thrilled to be in Pia Jane Bijkerk’s new book: “Little Treasures: Made by Hand” Her book is a self publishing adventure: Pia has written and photographed everything herself. She wrote a lovely story about my me, it made me smile and missing her being in Amsterdam even more… I gave Pia my first whale after she interviewed me to her first book. I was very moved to know that this whale found himself in the room of Pia’s little girl… This is her second book that I’m mentioned in- so wonderful–Thank you Dear Pia! Thank you Joetta Maue for asking me to interview  for the one and only Mr. X Stitch….:-)

My textile workshop

I’m very excited to have a workshop inspired by my art-work at  Atelier Oosterbosch. The idea and initiation was all in the hands of the amazing Anita Oosterbosch. We are going to make a collage and then translate it to a beautiful textile-art-work. looking forward…:-) Two last things: Check this great “the art cake“ art site runs by very lovely Christi! and this amazing summer days here make me so damn happy…  🙂   Some pictures I’ve took at the last workshop

A guerrilla gardening

The pot hole gardener is a project run by Londoner Steve Wheen, who brings greenery and miniature scenes to the streets of east London. Following other Guerrilla Gardeners, Wheen says: ‘my neighborhood has a distinct lack of green space and I’m a gardener with no garden.’ Some matches are just meant to be.   My dears, with this spring- post, I’m taking a break from my blog. There are exciting projects that I’m working on and ( to my big surprise…) I can’t do it all. See you all soon!.

Surprise from above

Beautiful spring, sunny day was last Sunday. We went out to one of our favorite places: Elswout. While enjoying the nature around us, we heard a loud sound and suddenly a cloud of color was above our heads. I don’t what going on with me and birds lately and parrot in particularly- but there he was-a gorgeous, colorful, huge parrot landed on the tree next to us. Strait from a National Geography film….:-)
